If you are interested in volunteering for 2009 festival here is some information.

We are looking for volunteers in a number of different areas. Each area has its own coordinator.

We should be able to accept applications by post.

The areas are:

Children - helping provide children's activities. We would need to carry out a CRB police check. If you are interested - please email us ASAP as the CRB checking can take up to 5 months

Communicator -  you would need fluent spoken English and BSL to level 3 or above.

Welcome and Information You would be checking tickets, handing out programmes, giving information about the camp and the local area eg where is the supermarket etc.

Site - You would be involved in setting up the camp -building some tents, putting up signs, etc. The site team come one day early (thurs 1st) and stay an extra day, (finish tues 6th) This would be physical work but it means you really feel part of everything that is happening because`you get to build the camp and watch it grow.

Recycling - you would need to separate and collect recycling such as cans, tins, plastics and take it to the recycling skips

First Aid  - You need a current first aid certificate for this.

Security -  We are looking for a team of 4 people to make sure everything runs safely and there are no problems on camp.

Catering -  we aim to have a much bigger catering team next year as our amazing volunteers would welcome much more support (and time off!)

All the volunteers will work approximately 4 hours per day and get a free ticket for the festival. We want the volunteers to have fun like everyone else so there will be plenty chance to join in with everything.

The first thing you need to do is fill out the volunteer form. One of our area coordinators will contact you and offer you a job in their area. If you want to work in that area you need to fill out a booking form and send it with a cheque for £65. We do not put the volunteer cheques in the bank. We hold them and give them back at the end of camp. This is simply a safe guard to make sure that our volunteers do actually volunteer!
